This just in! If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that yesterday marked the Grand Opening of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland Resort. Teething problems are normal and with that in mind, we’re getting word that the ride has officially broken down, lights went on and guests needed to be evacuated.
You can see from these image what Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway looks like when the lights are on.
As of going to print, we aren’t quite sure what caused the closure.
You can see the empty train cars as guests were forced to disembark mid-ride.
You can see visitors waiting on the outside of the track to be escorted from the ride.
Above you can see a Cast Member pointing guests to the exits.
It’s interesting to get a view of the scenes from the ride with the lights on.
We can still see Chuuby flittering around in the upstairs window!
As of going to print, we aren’t sure how long the ride will be down. We’ll keep you updated if there’s any additional news!
