Disney invites Guests to “go on an epic adventure through 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios.” Sleeping Beauty Castle and Main Street, U.S.A. will light up to honor a century of Disney Animation.
Today, Disney Parks shared that “Oscar-winning Disney artists and filmmakers are getting a sneak peek at the new Disney100 nighttime spectacular Wondrous Journeys.” An Instagram post captured their reactions.
Let’s take a look!
The directors for Raya and the Last Dragon and Strange World were on hand, along with contributors for Zootopia, Moana, and Big Hero 6. Also in attendance was an Oscar-winning producer from Encanto.
As they watched some of their work come to life on Sleeping Beauty Castle, one mentioned that he was “speechless” and that it was “amazing!” A standout of the performance was Baymax flying through the sky!
I must admit, Baymax’s flight has me intrigued! Disney journalist Scott Gustin recently shared additional details about the epic scene.

He said, “During a climactic moment in the story, the thumping bass of the song ‘Immortals’ from Big Hero 6 can be heard as Baymax takes to the skies over Disneyland Park with his rocket boosters propelling him into the night.”
